Lampwork glass beads and jewelry

Fiesta Flower

Demonstration:
I will demonstrate how glass beads are made using the flame of a torch.

Directions to studio:
Go north on San Juan Avenue just past the intersection at F Street. Take a left onto Umatilla. Go a few blocks to Landis Street. Turn right. Woodland Avenue is the first cross street. My studio is the little building in between two shingled houses.

Artist statement:
Being creative is my passion. Melting glass is one of the funnest, most satisfying things I have ever done. It is exciting, mesmerizing and calming all at the same time. Making beads and jewelry makes me happy.

I hope that seeing and wearing my beads makes other people happy, too! Each bead is made one at a time with love, care and attention to detail. I strive to make each one better than the one before. I am so grateful that I discovered bead making and am able to pursue my passion. I have learned from books, three extremely talented bead makers, from mistakes and from the glass itself. Bright colors and joy are my main inspirations. Throughout the year my work can be found at the P.T. Farmer’s Market, Artisans on Taylor, local craft fairs and on my website.
