Artist statement:
My main artistic inspiration comes from ancient classical sources along with influences drawn from my experiences while living in the American southwest. My approach to creating pottery is from a functional perspective. What I hope to create is a vessel that has a feeling of being developed along classical lines of beginning and end with fluid lines of motion that sometimes incorporate sculptural elements or decorations.
